
Fresh Ink: Hull Playwriting Festival 2025
Seven new commissions have been selected from 117 entrants to be shared script-in-hand at the Fruit Market in Hull, over the weekend of 19-20 July.
These include two full-length plays, two 30 minute plays and three monologues.
Alongside new work by local writers, the programme also includes workshops and talks with Javaad Alipoor, Tabby Lamb, Winsome Pinnock, Samuel Edward Cook, Nathan Queely-Dennis, Tom Wells, Lydia Marchant, Holly Williams, Matt Woodhead, Holly Beasley-Garrigan, Maureen Lennon and Ola Animashawun.
Fresh Ink is produced by co-founders Middle Child and sponsored by co-founders Wykeland, with support from the J F Brignall Charitable Trust, Hull City Council, the University of Hull, Hull Truck Theatre and Garrick Charitable Trust.
